As the kids say :
SIX SEVEN !
Any idea what it means ?
No, neither have I.
The truth is, it means nothing at all.
It's a catchphrase designed simply to annoy adults.

But while it is popular with the youngsters. it's worth putting in the show to make them laugh.

And it all starts with a wobbly hat and pom-pom.

Paper pulp neck and a pair of ears baking in the oven.

Add a wooden nose and teeth and we are in business.

This is an extra character added to the growing list of things to build for the 2026 Summer Season.
As I really dont have time to be building him , I need to work the fastest way I know how.

I like 'open-mouthed' puppets. It's the sort of thing you can really only do in pulp. This would be much more difficult if carving in wood.

He's looking fun. I might increase the size of his two front teeth.
But apart from that, I am happy with the sculpt.
It was certainly fast.

His hands start with plywood cut outs of the numbers.
It will take two layers of pulp to sculpt them.

I'm not certain yet how his costume will look. My iPad lets me try out possibilities:

Another nice Spring day: perfect for painting puppets outdoors.

Not sure if they are freckles or acne spots ...but I think it looks right on him.
Gives him character !

Inner sleeves hide the arm joints. Eventually the jacket sleeves will cover these.

Getting his trousers fitted to the glove body.
Inner sleeves hide the arm joints. Eventually the jacket sleeves will pretty much completely cover these.

Sewing the Jacket Sleeves.

Jacket sections lined with iron on interfacing, sewn and pressed.

Stiffened collar section with braid and ric-rac.

Shirt collar, buttons and bow-tie neck band all added.
He is almost ready now for finishing touches: His Bow-Tie , Wig and Hat.

But first he needs a stiffener pad to help support his wooly hat.

I must decide now what colour I am going to paint his numbers.

LOTS MORE PICTURES AND INFO WILL BE ADDED TO THIS PAGE IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE
CHECK BACK AGAIN SOON Cheers Richard.
