JUDY
I cut out the heads for this Judy and a matching Joey on the same day.
The offcuts from both their faces were then mixed together to become a pair of Plate Spinning clowns.
All these puppets are for the 2025 Summer season.
More striped fabric being created using the red velvet ribbons.
This time the parts are to make her sleeves.
I like both Punch AND Judy to have a 'hump'.
It makes them a very matched pair of characters when they both turn into profile onstage.
The Hump is a throwback to the Punchinello character in the Comedia Delle'Arte.
Bugsy looks on while I sew on beads while we snuggle on the sofa.
